正式リリースはOS X 10.12と同時秋ごろか？

このiTunesのアップデートではコアな機能やレイアウトは残るが、いつくかのUIの変更があるとのことで、「OS X 10.12」と同時に秋ごろにリリースされる予定となっているそうです。
「WWDC 2016」では「iOS 10」や「OS X 10.12」、tvOS、watchOSなどのアップデート、さらには「MacBook Air/Pro」もという可能性もありますが、iTunesのアップデートもひとつ大きなトピックになるかもしれないですね。

なお、先ほどの記事で紹介したiTunesで音楽ダウンロードの廃止がされるという議論があるということについては、Appleは今のところ計画をしていないと聞いているそうです。
